2025 Labor Holidays Calendar in Spain

The 2025 working calendar includes a combination of national, regional and local holidays that reflect Spain's diversity and cultural richness. Below are the working holidays corresponding to each autonomous community and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, according to information published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).

The Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, in collaboration with the autonomous communities and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, has published the official holidays for 2025. These holidays are divided into three categories:

  • Non-replaceable national holidays : They apply throughout the Spanish territory without exceptions.
  • National holidays subject to change : Autonomous communities may replace them with their own celebrations.
  • Regional and local festivals : They reflect specific traditions of each region and municipality.

The total includes 14 holidays, consisting of 12 common days and up to two local days.

Common national holidays

These festivals are celebrated throughout the national territory, without the possibility of substitution by the autonomous communities:

  • January 1 : New Year.

  • April 18 : Good Friday.

  • May 1 : Labor Day.

  • August 15 : Assumption of the Virgin.

  • November 1 : All Saints' Day.

  • December 6 : Spanish Constitution Day.

  • December 8 : Immaculate Conception.
